Do I need reg book for reNCT

Have retest for a ball joint this evening. Cant find registration book. Rang NCT and girl on phone said I didnt need reg book for retest. She didnt sound very sure. Anyone know? Also, does anyone know the phone no. for Limerick NCT place (they only have a general 1890 one advertised). thanks
