i had my aug stripped down a bit( reciever and barrel taken off the rest of the gun and i pulled the triggeer and a small rectangular piece of metal with 3 holes drilled in it fell out(there was no mag or battery in the gun)

anyone know what that piece could be or if its important as the gun still shoots,
    thanks anyway

    GOT IT:D

The black piece you push to release the reciever, that plate sots in underneath it. The flanges catch on the edges.

It looks like the spring clip from under the body locking button! Remove that button and put that spring in, there should be little lips either side of the plastic that allows the spring to sit in place, then you push the button in over it! You dont need to push the button right out to remove the reciever, it only needs to be pushed until it clicks once.

thers one in the fire/safety selector also. if the selector isnt firm enough all you have to do is slightly bend it;)

That's exactly what it is lads. It's the plate that goes under the body locking pin. Happens on the CA version aswell. Just slide the button out and slide that plate in. When it's sat in just slide the body locking pin back in.

Yeah happened me a few times with my JG AUG but not my CA AUG.
I did not know if it was supposed to happen or not. I just popped
    it back in place.

The JG AUG body/receiver meld is actually better than the CA.
ie you can strip and assemble it easier and the pieces fit together
on the cheaper JG Brand. (on mine anyway)
