Network card problem?

    PC shut down spontaneously

    On restart it reported "boot sequence changed, check bios"

    Entered Bios and corrected boot sequence (had been set to "removable media")

    PC shut down again while loading networking (I think)

    Started PC in safe mode found no networking adapter in Device Manager

    Re-entered BIOS and enabled networking.

    Seems OK now.

    However, I would like to know WTF caused it! Has anyone any insights?
