    Speeds have gone through the floor - anyone else noticed ?

    d/l = 202kpbs and u/l = 474kps and this on a 6meg connection :mad:

    like this now for a couple of nights

    anyone else having probs ?

    Yeah 253/100 thats on a 1mb. Its been up and down (in terms of speed) for the last couple of weeks. Its impossible to play COD4 online with it.

    My pings and speeds look good. But I'm getting woeful lag a lot lately.

    Hi Folks,

    It seems we have a common problem. I had NTL/UPC Broadband Ultra installed a few week back during the day and the connection was fine. It is after 5pm that it goes into the toilet. This is because of the amount of users trying to use it which their system just can't handle. I reckon I will just stop paying them until they do something. I had a similar problem with Eircom in my last place in 2005. They had to upgrade their exchange

    I just ran a speed test, check it out, its pathetic really here are my results:

    We should all boycott them in my view until they provide a decent service! I have been passed around like a tray of cakes and its getting tiresome. Has anyone gone to the Ombudsman yet?

    Just tested there agin on my 6mb connection, its getting better but only because others are going offline. Here are the latest results:

    Sorry for the doublepost but I just wanted to illustrate the difference, I will post another entry at 11pm and again at midnight and then first thing in the morning

    *Edit* It actually spikes like mad for me, now its slower again. I do not have any viruses or spyware and this is the only PC hooked up to the connection
