Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hyperlinking in Excel

Hi guys, I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but this query is driving me bats.

I have an excel spreadsheet that is a 2008 calendar of events. I have 10 speakers on this calendar. Each speaker holds a session around twice a month. This is on a public drive on our server.

In a different folder, which is saved on a separate public drive on our server, I have a number of detailed excel spreadsheets, one per speaker, detailing the agenda for each session.

I want to hyperlink the speaker's detailed agenda document from the main calendar - so if you see Joe Bloggs on the general calendar on 14th February and click on his name, it opens his detailed document and you can study everything he has on for the year.

The hyperlinks work the first time I set them, but when I save, or close and reopen the calendar they stop working and when I click on them I get a pop-up error with simply "Cannot open the specified file".

When I set the link up it shows as being: file:///\\server\public\shared\rest of folders to document name.xls. The minute I either save the calendar, or close it and reopen it (thereby saving it), the link stops working. It shows the same path, but it just won't work.

It's a bit of a drama in here for me to get the folder of detailed agenda documents transferred to the same drive as the overall calendar, so before I try that I want some input on whether or not it might work, or if I need to do something else?
