Engineering Industry Statistics

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get information on the engineering industry statistics. Specifically I would like to know how many students enter engineering from school, how many graduate and then how many work in the industry afterwards. You often hear of people graduating in engineering and moving to the financial sector.

Any help is appreciated.

Some of the career services in each of the colleges would have the information you're looking for, although not for the overall sector. Might be an idea to look around some websites. I'll throw up some links when I'm not getting ready for work

Link below from the higher education authority, i think its for the class of 2005 but may be able to get more recent graduate year. Not sure if its any use to you but have a peek, looks good.

Would also contact the CAO people as they are the ones who would have all the statistics for the students going from secondary school into third level education.
