2006 Toyota Avensis facelift

Hi all

Just wondering what the difference are in the early 2006 avensis and the later 2006 model
Know that the front grill is different
interior slightly different (removed tape deck and added MP3 support to cd)
Improved suspension (is there much of a difference?)
indicators on mirrors

Trying to choose between 2 different ones, about £800 difference in price, older is a nice sporty blue

Any suggestions/advise appreciated

Mechanically, the steering and suspension and gear change are much impoved, Diesel models went from 116bhp to 125bhp and gain 6 speed gearbox along with VSC TRC and brake assist.
Interior wise, they gained folding rear seats with rear armrest, different material on the seats, the trip computer is moved from the top of the centre console to under the rev counter. the steering wheel is different too, with more logical steering wheel controls. the radio loses the cassette player in place of MP3 compatability.
On the exterior, the only metalwork to change is the front wings which lose the indicator bulb, These are moved to the wing mirrors- which are bigger than before. The rear lights ate also slightly changed, as are the headlights. The front bumper is slightly changed with round foglights and a less restrained grille than the 03 model.
Colours were changed for 2006 too, with Oasis Green, Coral Red and Stellar Blue replaced with Fir Green, Brocade Red and Pacific Blue.

I'd pay €500 more for a "Remastered" Avensis, and if you like the old blue, you'll love the new Pacific Blue which is much shinier and reacts really well to light.

Think I will go with newer version those little extras are nice to have for the price, hopefully reflects in the selling on price in a few years too
