Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If I hook up a set of headphones to my amplifier will I get surround sound? Will the sound quality be any better than if I simply connected my headphones to the TV?

Heres a bit of reading for you ,

    http://hometheater.about.com/od/headphones/qt/headsurround.htm

The thing about surround sound on headphones is this , if you amp has one of the following technologies or something like it , then yes , you'll get surround off the headphones jack , and it should work with any set of headphones ,

    Dolby Headphone,
    SRS Headphone,
Yamaha Silent Cinema and Smyth Research

If not , then the only way to get a surround effect of your amp is to buy a set of surround headphones. Something like this ,

    http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-RS-130-Wireless-Headphones/dp/B0007QN18U ,

Ive only read about the headphones above , people seem to like them though.

With a straight amp and an ordinary pair of headphones , the output is stereo only.
