    I'm interested to know what people did when the heard about the difficulties Northern Rock encountered, ie the bail-out and bank-run and all that.

    I initially left a few bob in (withdrew the vast majority). Numerous cock ups later with website even being unable to credit interest to accounts properly I closed. Would have probably moved anyhow seeing the rates that were available elsewhere.
