Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cheers guys, but don't get too used to it... Start a new job next week and so will be travelling for about a month for training, will try to get some running done during that time but other things might get in the way!

Anyway, had planned on an evening weights session in the gym but fell asleep on the couch for the afternoon and felt like ****e when I woke up so gave it a pass. Prob nothing tomorrow or Friday due to travel and shopping...

5km (3.11 miles) 24:34 - really wasn't in the mood today. Slept too much last night and didn't really recover after that. Think I've tweaked one of the tendons attaching my hamstring to my knee, it's sore when extended and to the touch, so will keep an eye on that over the next few days. Moving back to Dublin tomorrow...

Jees, I've never had to go to page 3 to find my thread before... Exercise has been very minimal this week, been working and socialising too much! Heading to London tomorrow for 2 weeks, no gym in the hotel but hopefully get out for a few runs by the river...

I'm back again, hopefully going to make a proper go at it this time... After 2 months of over-indulgence, I've finally gotten around to renewing my gym membership and I finally have the chance to get some exercise done as work is finally starting to settle down.

Congrats to everyone who ran the marathon on Monday, I'm dead jealous! But hopefully that'll be me this time next year ;)

    So today:

4 miles (6.45km) 33:10 - found this tough, but was really glad to get 4 miles in. Won't be going too much longer than this for the week, apart from maybe a little longer on Sunday.

    5.57 miles 20:00 Exercise Bike

    Edit:
Meant to add: current weight is 73.7kg so have put on a few

Going to try to focus on the running again as I was really enjoying it earlier in the year. Might try to get to a few bhaa races at some point but want to get my fitness back up a bit first...

4 miles (6.45km) 34:52 - took it easier today, around my right knee is stiff and tender after the run on Tuesday. Time for a new pair of runners methinks...

7.15 miles (11.5km) 62:46 - reasonably early run in Phoenix Park this morning, not particularly fast but happy with the distance...

3.11 miles (5km) 26:24 - taking it pretty easy until the last km, heart was mega up at the end, the treadmill said it was >190... But I've been sick for a few days so maybe that has something to do with it.

4.64 miles 15:00 on exercise bike

Was getting late after that so headed home, it's a bit of a pain to have to walk to the gym after work instead of it being outside the door like it was last year...

It's been a while... Think I finally have something to aim for, but gonna keep it till myself for a while until things get sorted out...

    Monday 01/12/08
    3.11 miles (5 km) 27:15

    Tuesday 02/12/08
    4 miles (6.45km) 33:xx

    Thursday 04/12/08
    5 miles (8.05km) 43:10

    Sunday 07/12/08
8.7 miles (14km) 77:58 - was good to get back outdoors in the Phoenix Park today. Original plan was for about 8 miles, but halfway through I wasn't getting into it and decided to cut it short. Then I started to get my stride and strike right going around the S-bends on Military Road and decided to head back up the Khyber Road and back around again before heading home. Was a gorgeous day, and got treated to the hilarious view of two park wardens trying (not very successfully) to herd hundreds of deer by chasing around after them :)

Total for the week 20.81 miles (~34km).

    3.11 miles (5km) 25:40

    Seated Chest Press
    36kg x10
    41kg x10 x10

    Seated Leg Press
    8 plates x10
    9 plates x10 x10

    Seated Shoulder Press
    7 plates x10
    6 plates x10
    5 plates x5

Haven't done anything with weights in a long time, so was just messing around a bit. Gym was pretty busy, but hopefully over the next few weeks it'll quieten off.

Gonna be tough to get enough done this week, have a word do on Friday night and a friend over from Barcelona for the weekend so might not be able to fit stuff in...

5.37 miles (8.63km) 49:40 - was the wrong side of town for the gym this evening so decided to go outside... Pretty cold evening, but enjoyed the run even if the time was much slower than it felt...

Missed training for a few days because of some very late nights (I can't wait for Christmas parties to be over...) and having some friends over from Barcelona. Time to get back on track this week, well except for Thurs & Fri, the last two and biggest work parties...

So back to tonight, came a significant step closer to finally setting my next goal, just need to sort out some financial stuff first...

3.43 miles (5.52km) 26:43 - faster than I thought, so reasonably happy, was tough though...
