    Hi,
My van is in need of a good clean and I came across this lot: http://www.professionaltouch.ie/ but after trying to call loads of times over the past week, they haven't once answered:confused:

Anyone know of similar services around Dublin for just getting a good wash for a big van? Not too pricey either, say 30 euro max? :)

    Any feedback appreciated!

I would doubt it would be commercially viable for anyone to have a mobile service washing vans and charging €30.

    Do it yourself Cormie.

    Its the easiest way.

    get one of these:

    http://cgi.ebay.ie/HEAVY-DUTY-EXTENDABLE-WASH-BRUSH-FOR-CAR-VAN-CARAVAN_W0QQitemZ230216435036QQihZ013QQcategoryZ72201QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

37 euro in Halfords - a lot cheaper on ebay...

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I didn't think I'd get a mobile washer for €30, but was more looking for one I could just call into ;)

I'm not sure about DIY, what else besides the rod thing would I need? Just a hose and suds? What way does it work with the suds? Probably wouldn't get as good a result without the use of a power washer?

You can get soap sticks that fit into a section of it for the suds effect. You'll find that a power washer will only remove mud and thick dirt - it won't remove the final layer of grime. A brush/mitt/sponge is the only way to get it squeaky clean.

Yes, buy yourself 5L of traffic film remover wash like Concept Delta Force in PR Reilly's Kilbarrack, rubber gloves, a wash mitt, two buckets, a garden hose with jet spray nozzle attach. and a step ladder!

You sure they do basic wash like for a few quids?
My understanding is that they fix paint swirl, treat the car's body etc.
    I may be wrong...

Was cormie not referring to a detailing crowd in his original post http://www.professionaltouch.ie/

    Hi,

Waves Hand Car Wash in ClareHall Shopping Center do van washing for €20 - €30 depending on the size of the van. It will take around 30 minutes and that gets you hand washed, polished, leather dry wheels and tyres and glass cleaned.
