Some good performances. Peter Coghlan with a return to form with 7.80, a breakthough performance by Nick Hogan with an indoor 48.36 beating Gregan(puts him in the frame for Beijing 4x4), Kieran Kelly with an 18m shot putt, Kelly Proper with another LJ record and Rob Heffernan with a 5k walk record (even though its a crazy event to have indoors!).

    Its on RTE 2 tonight.

Was away so only went through the results y'day, and a couple of things popped up:

    1. Where did Kallur and the Norwegian go? Did they hear DO'R wasn't racing and fecked off?

    2. Great performance by both Proper and Heffernan. The former is on a roll at the mo, and I hope she carries it into the outdoor season. This could be the year for Heffernan.

    3. Both Niamh Whelan and Chris Russel winning the senior 200m; impressive! Stars of the future methinks.

    4. Ailis McSweeney is off to a flyer; hope she gets the World Indoors Standard. Anna Boyle doesn't seem to have hit her best yet (rthen again, it was her first race). Does her 7.30 from Birmingham last year qualify her for Valencia?

    5. That 15-year-old, Ciara Mageean, looks like she's going to be a huge star in years to come! What a performance to win a Senior title at such a young age.

    6. Peter Coghlan set a class time to win. Will be very interesting to see where he goes from here.
