Very interesting 50 years history of satellite with amusing anecdotes and plenty of politics.…

As a (far from geostationary) bus sized American spy satellite is on its way earthwards at the moment, I noticed coincidentally "The Satellite Story" is being repeated again on BBC4 tonight.
Very interesting 50 years history of satellite with amusing anecdotes and plenty of politics.
Well worth recording, and I am sure it will be repeated again if you miss it.
I especially liked the French reply to the first transatlantic live satellite broadcast (a bit of oneupmanship on the experts in Goonhilly).
