    Looking to replace the engine in it any idea of cost or a couple of places that would have one in good working order

    Not too sure on where you'd get one apart from regular breakers. Usually with a perkins a rebuild works out cheap enough, unless there is actually something wrong with your engine other than wear. If I'm not mistaken the 248 was fitted in some JCB 3cx diggers, so that might be another avenue in your search. I'll keep my eyes peeled. :)

    Yeah its probably going to get reconditioned but just trying to price a new one and see if its worth it.
