Bad, I know. Lazy, I know. In my defence, I haven't taken a sick day since June (I actually was sick then) and I've battled through flus and near-broken fingers since. I'm now looking forward to a duvet day...What do ye think?

Go to the company doctor and bring me a note. Otherwise forget getting paid for today, forget your promotion possibilities........

When you go back to work, tell them you pulled a sickie and allow employer to deduct one days annual leave.

Ohhhh I was so tempted to stay in bed this morning due to a few pints and staying up too late watching the Boosh. I'm a temp though so don't get paid if I'm sick so forced myself up. I'm very jealous!! You get to watch home and away twice, always evidence of a day well spent! :D

Yeah, I must admit it was a great idea. Had an attack of the guilts at the start but I really enjoyed my 'personal day'. Must do it more often! :D

Am I weird? I've never taken a sick day, despite high temps/broken fingers/chest and throat infections. I actually got slagged off by my last boss about having a really good weekend the last time I had a throat infection and it took until Wednesday before she'd believe my hoarseness was not socialising related!

i've only ever taken one day off work, and that was the day after two of my relatives had died; one for cancer so we kinda knew twas coming,a nd one in a car crash.. i took one day off for that, but ended up kinda getting sorta fired, due to not quite being myself for a few months after that.
