Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anyone else noticed all the new 'Vodafone Make The Most Of Now' billboards that are everywhere? Looks like they're selling in game ad space to subsidise the free dlc that they're planning?

    No.
Did that come with the patch?
I haven't updated my xbox games in a while as my internet won;t work anymore with Live.

I don't remember any prompt to download a patch but those signs weren't there when I played two days ago. There's also a guy on the Eurogamer forum claiming he saw ads for Open University a few days ago.

They are doing in game ads...and have been since I bought the ame which was around 2 weeks ago. I got hundreds of billboards with the we are o2 thing...even the Irish number to text in!

I know it's advertising and evil and all that...but I thought it was kinda cool,my games keeping up with the outside world...

Well I don't play the game online so I haven't noticed.

Yes I noticed these new billboards. They wore not in the game when it got it on release.

That's my elite license in the bag.

Now I never have to play that game again.
It got really repetitive towards the end.

    Fair play to ya!

I'm only a few races off my Burnout license and even that's repetitive enough, I don't think I could stick pushing myself towards the Elite license. Too many other games to play to persevere with something that bugs you.

The game made me hungry last week when I was going for the jumps, and there was a dirty big Burger King ad at the carpark where I'd to start towards one of the jumps!

Yeah - I've seen the o2 ads appearing recently instead of the CompUSA ones that were in the game by default. I do feel a little gipped, however, paying full price for a game that continues to subsidise itself through ads.

Surely that warrants some sort of price reduction at retail, no?

    Hellooo.... "Criterion Elite"? ;)

Maybe it has had an effect - the game is €45 in a number of places now afaik.
