hogan v anyone is not going to happen. hulk and vince have had a huge falling out over money, and now hogan is starting up his own wrestling franchise that is 100% steroid free (oh the hypocrasy) to compete with vince and WWE. so it will be a hulk free WM!

That's what people were saying last year. Then Hogan showed up at the Raw Anniversary show and put over WWE in a way that's unusual for him. Vince has clearly got the upper hand in their relationship these days, if he wants Hogan at WM then he'll be there

Don't bother trying to book a card for Wrestlemania this year - its just not worth it. I've been an avid wrestling fan for 20+ years. I was at The Royal Rumble in 2000 and at Wrestlemania 22 in 2006 plus plenty houseshows here in Ireland and in England over the years. I think I know my wrestling but more importantly I think I know when to quit. So, R.I.P WWE - this ain't wrestling anymore - its a joke!! At least I have plenty tapes and dvds of the golden days gone by to keep me happy! By the way, I'm not dissing anyone that watches WWE today, just telling you that isn't what wrestling really is. Maybe in a few years time I'll return to it all - but its gonna take a miracle to stop the rot in WWE. A BIG HELLO to all you fellow wrestling fans out there - hopefully the jawdropping, electrifying, edge of your seat, crap your pants action and magic will return to WWE one day and make us all chant "HOLY S**T!!!" in unison one more glorious time!!!

I know what you mean about having a younger guy beat Flair, I said that when Flair's retirement first got talked about, but I think the problem now is that if they have Kennedy beat him the chances are that it could be a horrible match. At least with Shawn he can bump all over the place and make Flair look great and very likely have a good match. Any other young guys seem to be in other matches already (Matt, MVP, Jeff, Orton) or not at the level where they could credibly take part in Flair's last ever match (Carlito, Shelton, Elijah). Punk is the only other young guy apart from Kennedy that could fit in there, but I can't see that happening

And you left out Khali and Big Daddy V! What would Wrestlemania be without those two?!

You also left out ECW but I'll forgive you for putting the Miz in the MITB. I think Kennedy Flair would have legs. Kennedy is starting to show shades of his former self once again and the build up to it would be fantastic considering how good both of them are on the mic.

this time last year i was full sure Kennedy would be the breakout star of 07/08,as in rock/austin proportions, he was having solid matches and was awesome on the mic, then the steroid thing happened, he opened his big mouth and made a fool of himself in the process, hope he turns things around as i actually really like the guy

It bugs me to hear people talking about Edge vs Taker as a 'streak vs streak' match. Edge's streak ended last year. Did he win the MITB match? No - Kennedy did. He was a loser like the others in that match.

Had Taker been in this match and failed to win would people be saying his streak remained intact? I doubt it very much!

Edge might not have been pinned or made to tap out but his undefeated Mania streak is definitely over. It's desperate stuff to try and suggest otherwise.

John Cena's undefeated WM streak remains in place however. For the time being at least...

I don't know why everybody is thinking Taker vs. Edge is a lock. I think they'll have Edge as a champ for a while, build him up and the best way they can do that is have him win clean at WM which would mean Edge vs. Batista. Then you could always have Taker vs. Flair and as the ultimate tribute have Flair break his streak

It's the biggest Smackdown match they can put on. And generally they put the biggest matches they have on Wrestlemania. That's the logic.

Plus they set it up at Survivor Series with Edge returning and attacking Undertaker.

It's his streak of not being pinned or submitted! It really doesn't bother me at all, they can stretch the truth if it makes for a good story. To me it's the same as saying that the Rumble winner has to main event Wrestlemania. I might think it's a bit unfair on the Rumble winner being bumped down the card if the show was for real, but it's not. They're just telling stories in the way that they think is best

i dont know why takers streak is so beloved in the wrestling world its not like he actually "beat" these guys is it, plus hes had imo 3 great matches at mania against Orton,Batista and Triple H, the rest have ranged from mediocre (jake roberts,sid, kane x2) to godawful (gonzalez, mizark henry)

Because now at every Wrestlemania you have an angle with Taker which involves keeping his streak and knowing the WWE, if they did use it to benefit anyone it'd be Cena or Trips. Personally I'd like to see HBK end it. Most losses vs. most wins

But Wrestlemania will sell regardless of the card. Save Edge vs. Taker for later. Have Edge screw taker in the elimination chamber or something. There are plenty of ways to give Edge a victory over Batista at WM and boost his profile while keeping Taker Edge on the go

Edge vs Taker with the streaks on the line was a match I really wanted to see but I felt they f*cked it up by having Kennedy win the MITB match. Especially with the injury the latter ended up suffering.

However if Cena wins at Mania this year picture next year - Wrestlemania 25 - John Cena vs The Undertaker with the streaks on the line.

Now THAT is a match that will get fans riled up. I wouldn't mind either guy winning but of course others would be distraught at the idea of Cena ending Taker's streak. It would be big money.

I think this is the big streak vs streak Mania match in the WWE now because I don't think anyone for a second buys the idea that Edge will end Taker's streak, when at one point it was a possibility. But you can't honestly rule out the idea of Cena ending it in a scenario such as the one above...
