    Hi there

Please let me know if you have any info about his whereabouts... Thanks!

"Tigger" went missing on Friday, 25th of January in Raheny, Belmont Square area.
Male neutered Bengal cat, almost 2 years old, quite tall/long but skinny with a very long tail.
Reddish-brown with black spots and stripes, white-orange belly, green eyes.
Was wearing a tag with his name and my number on it.
He's very friendly with people but doesn’t get along with other cats.

Tracked him down and got him back... long story.

the moral of it: get your pets microchipped. If I hadn't been too stupid to get that done I would have had him back the day after he went missing.

    Cheers!

Our vet told us not to bother getting our cats microchipped because unlike dogs the majority aren't handed in to be scanned

The animal sanctuary that got him did scan him, but he has no chip yet. If he had, I would have know where he is 1 week earlier (and BEFORE he was re-homed!)

    Delighted you got him back!
Why didn't they just ring you - you say your number was on his tag?

Apologies for going slightly off thread, but are those Bengal cats expensive? They are really beautiful.

    bottom of the kittens page:

Pet kittens may not, at any time be used for breeding & are placed under a neutering contract & are on the 'non-active' registered with the GCCFI.
Each kitten is individually assessed for quality & priced accordingly.
Kittens occasionally available as potential breeders, to
    known established breeders only.

    Pet prices ~ from €650

    Thanks qwerty
Looks like the're trying to protect their own interests by prohibiting others from breeding, or am I being nasty ?

    you're being nasty :)

    breeding quality cats are expensive.

They give you the cat cheaper if you agree not to use it for breeding.
It also helps keeping the quality and distinctive traits of a breed from deteriorating.
