Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Piano Lecture-Recital Wexford

    Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd let ye know of a piano lecture-recital (basically a history of piano music from 1500s to present) at the Wexford Arts Center on 2nd Feb at 8.30 p.m that I'm playing at. It also features a young pianist (14 year old) who is originally from Wexford. Unlike the usual classical music recitals, this isn't going to be a stuffy, overly formal concert, as I hope to engage the audience by giving them relevant and not overly tedious information about the works being performed, and also sharing their relevance with popular music! There'll be music by Bach, Brahms, Debussy, Rachmaninov, and more. I am particularly trying to get young people, students, anyone with an interest in music, to come along, so more people feel like classical music isn't solely being performed for the elitist music going audience.

I'd also love to talk to as many of you afterwards. There's more information about the recital at www.wexfordartscentre.ie or at www.karishmeh.com

    Thank you! :-)

Cheers! That would be lovely, and if you manage to make it to the lecture, do come up and say hello afterwards! I'm actually going to be talking to Dan Walsh on Southeast Radio later today with some more information about the recital!
