Bus / Train info?

Hello, looking for a bit of advice, going to Mullingar for a gig on Thurs (from Dublin), need to be there for 9.30pm ish but can't leave before 6.

Then, need to be in Galway by 3 the next day....

...and we've no car

Anyone do either of those journeys a lot that could advise?
Was thinking maybe train down, and (local?) bus to Kinnegad and CityLink to Galway.

Bus Eireann go Dub-Mullingar, Dept 7pm, Arr 8.30pm
Then you can go Mullingar-Galway via Athlone on Friday
Dept 1:05 pm, Arr 3.45pm (again Bus Eireann)

Brilliant, thanks..dunno why the search gave me only earlier ones down.
Any idea of fares, that site drives me mad to search on.

Also, do have to be in Galway by 3 at latest..is it easy to get to Kinnegad to hook up with a CityLink?

Sorry, misread the Galway arrival time.
Theres an earlier bus Mullingar-Athlone via Longford at 9.20am (arrive 11.10)
with connections in Athlone to Galway @ 11.15am and 12.15am.

Dunno about CityLink

Thanks, the "Mullingar to Galway" search for Friday came up with nothing!:(
I think I can also get to Harry's by 11.50 on an 11.30 bus too, this sounds short, but don't know the area. I think a CityLink comes by at 12...
Gives me a wee lie in after a late night, my friend is playing at the Stables

Worked out great, got the 10.30 to Kinnegad and just caught the 10.55 City Link to Galway. Great gig, and thanks for the help!
