Deleting history - some websites remain

Would anyone be able to help me delete some of my browsing history from my computer? I realise how dodgy that sounds, but it's nothing bad, honest guv! :D

I'm using Internet Explorer on Windows XP. I've done the usual Tools - Internet Options - Delete History things and it clears most things. However, specific pages of some sites seem to stay there permanently. They won't show up straight away on the drop-down address bar but if I type in, let's say www.p, about 5 or 6 ancient "news" stories from people.com show up. It shouldn't annoy me, but dammit, it does.

Any help at all that anyone could give would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

The reason that happened is because you had Web Addresses ticked in AutoComplete in the Internet Options.

Internet Options > Content Tab > AutoComplete Settings > Untick Web Addresses

    Badda Bing, Badda Boom!

    Happy porn surfing ;)
