Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yep , very wet i'd say , trying to settle on the car roof and not succeeding much yet. Seems to be a mixture of snow and small hail(graupel?).

That house at 380 metres is surely seeing the good stuff now !

God I'm frozen, keep running out and in with my torch hehe

I may arrive with some interesing news in the next few minutes..

Remember that that sub -40c 500hpa air is to our north, the flow is deeply unstable, we must try and be positive as the situation will change very quickly!

Heavy sleet here now 2.0c but the flakes are very wet. Hopefully we'll see something better later tonight/by dawn. Given that this organised band of showers came out of nowhere, who's to say we won't get another surprise later?

OK - Just looking at the radar, what we are experiencing now is nothing compared to what is on the way. The heavy stuff seems to be hitting NW Dublin. Temp down slightly to 1.7c

The 10pm radar seems to be picking up "more intensive" precip out west compared to the 930pm - I remember hearing that the radar can "overdo" snowfall? Could it be turning to snow there?

Ground is soaking wet here now-might inhibit any snow from sticking later. Sleet is pretty heavy still.
