Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Been there donkey years ;) (before the new website)

Snowline from the 1mm overnight is above 200m, I'd say nearer 250m. Need binoculars to actually see it.

    Currently 3C, negative DP.
Theres snow here almost down to coolgreany and quite a bit of it.
I couldnt see croghan or anything really untill just now as they were shrouded in cloud.
The snowline is in fact about 300 feet (not metres) asl.
It looks very white above that line.

I still reckon early evening today till early hours sat morning will be the best chance for most people to see snow but it's a shame isn't going to turn out as good as we hoped. Ah well.

nilhg-could you go to your user cp and enter your location into your profile please :)

Theres little point in people saying they have snow on this thread,if they dont say where.
Putting it in your profile means its under your avatar at all times so you will never have to say it again :)

    Done

    3) Make ginormous Snow ball so big that i can't push it anymore (my favourite!)
    4) Go sledging on the local hill
    5) Take lots of snaps
    6) Build small igloo.
    7) sleep in igloo

The ouest is gonna do a charm from these showers packing into the west..

Should do well through the day and its only gonna get colder too ;)

Meanwhile a beatiful winters day in Dublin, sunny and cold.

Have you a sat track / image of that shower band WC? Nothing much showing on the met.ie radar, maybe they're further out. Only a light dusting here so far, ground very wet too. Would be great to make a few snowmen when the kids get back from school :D.

The radar is packing up to my northwest
It looks very good for Cork in about an hour or so

Where's that guy that was on here a few weeks ago saying Cork never gets snow??
Cork is full of hills and is actually well poised for snow

  • Registered Users Posts: 336 ✭✭Damomanye

just had a snow shower here in Limerick City. Snowed for about 20 mins but none stayed. Wet ground

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,882 ✭✭✭fozzle

Snow's blowing in horizontally in Sligo town atm. Ground is too warm and wet for anything to stick. There's a light dusting up the mountains, but notmuch even there.
