Hi, i saw some insulating paint in a decorator shop there and wondering if anybody has ever used it? Is it any good? It's quite expensive (30 euro), but sounds like it couldn't be up to much if it'll only ever be the thickness of paint.

    thanks,
    J

My father used it in his house and reckons it has improved the heat retention.
The powder is supposed to contain tiny bits of ceramic which reflect the heat back rather than providing insulation.
Mix the powder with a white paint as a base and then overpaint with the colour of choice.
Try it in one room, including the ceiling and see what you think.
