So what kind of target shooting do you want to get into..?

    Short range ?
    Long Range ?

    Air rifle ?
    Centerfire ?

Tell us all a bit more about your interests and you'll get plenty of advise ..

Welcome , by the way :)

    Thanks Sharps, JayCee

I'd love to get into Long Range & Centerfire would be my choice,
I've done a lot of open air range competition shooting various weapons with the army but that was a long time ago .
But i'd love to get back into some kind of target shooting so any info would be great :)

    OK then..

Well for centerfire, Midlands range outside Tullamore is the longest in the country. Theres a choice of 25 meter, 50 meter, 100, 200, 300, 400, or 600 meter.. depending on what your shooting.

Apart from the 600meter range all firing points are covered and theres a nice clubhouse too. It's probably best to look around and see what suits your shooting best.

    Hope this helps :)

Every district and Super have different "stories" and tunes to dance to. Find a local club and ask the members there, that might be the best way of answering a lot of questions...........

What are the commonest / most easily attainable calibres for semi auto rifles. I'd like to get a semi auto - ruger 10/ 22 magnum (Rimfire) but out of interest would like to know what calibres are available and wouldnt be a problem keeping in the future re. needing to get a restricted firearms licence.
