The Cambor on my back tyres is out where could i get it adjusted? I joining this site to get answers dam it tongue.gif. My cars lowered so i know the cambor will be slightly out anyway but the left is more positive than the right, and i know that by adjusting the three nuts by the wishbone it will sort it... If i was not so small i'd do it myself... and a girl explaining it to a guy insults their intelligence (pyschos) so i am sick of trying to get it sorted can you help? Or give advise, thanks love Kaz

    1. welcome to boards
    2. don't assume that because you are a girl that a guy knows more
    3. IMO get it to an expert. Ardfallen get decent reviews

Similar problem but located in the East... Anyone?

Very specialised job to get done properly - ie forget Advance and there like. Car needs to be on a ramp during alignment for adjustment access, needs four wheel alignment equip and most importantly, needs someone who really knows what they're doing.

It all depends on the car you have. Its more than likely that you have negative camber not positive.
I had an e30 and the only way you could solve this is by putting in offset bushings.
If there is offset bolts you could do it yourself using a spirit level, trust me when i say this you couldnt do a worse job than advance

I'd have to agree. I really don't think that most of the Advance employees know how use that sort of equipment.

OP - what leads you to believe that you need the camber adjusted - are you experiencing uneven tyre wear?

Guys (& Girls) bear in mind that unless its an E30 then its got complex adjustment - ie camber adjustment will also effect the toe setting, hence you really need someone who understands the relationships between these in order to get it right. Add to that that BM's usually have to be weighted properly during setting etc.

If you can find a local race / rally car specialist, they should be able to set it up properly for you. contact any local motorsport club for names.

Depends how you define the East but Dave McCann in Clonsilla comes highly recommended.
I'm not sure if their site is finished yet though

Uneven on the back left compared to the right, i got it tracked in O'Sullivan Tyres and since then going through a tyre on that side once a month, only thing bothering me about that is getting a blowout and doing serious damage not only to my car but also to myself... so i might try Ardfallen then? Any other recommendations from anyone? Absolutely gorgeous car but with this problem i can't enjoy it anymore... driving it to work and home that's it....

edit: please don't post your mobile number online unless you want every tech-enabled psycho stalking you!

Sounds like they screwed something up if a tyre is only lasting a month.

Rear camber adjustment is easy enough on Hondas using simple washers on the upper wishbone. I can't imagine BMWs being much more difficult.

Don't talk to me... it took me a whole day to calm myself down before i went back in to them... I actually asked them just to put it back the way it was but i may as well have been explaining that to my mother... So i'm between a rock and a hard place, can't get time off and i work monday to friday and most places are closed that specialise on a sat

If i had the time and you were a little closer i would.
Another prob that you may need to get doen is the rear subframe bushings as these also fail and upset the angles on the rear.
Go to www.e30zone.co.uk, fantastic website with some very friendly and knowledgeable guys on there...
    Hope this helps
