Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey folks,

Trying to learn to use emacs now, and the alt/meta key isn't working for commands, so I have to press escape then the letter, rather than holding alt and pressing the letter.

What's the problem? And how can I remedy it?

I'm on OSX by the way.

    Cheers

I don't know anything about getting it working on OSX, but there appears to be plenty of Mac users on www.emacswiki.org, I'd recommend starting off there.

Funnily enough, on my MS Natural Keyboard, there's a 'menu' key between Alt Gr and Left Ctrl which was automatically configured to M-x for some reason. No idea why but it turned out to be very handy.
