Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So I will be going to California next week for about a week. I've already got a sort of itineray planned-do a bit of hiking through the Sierra Nevadas, maybe Mount Jaciento if I can manage it, visit La Brea tar pits outside LA, maybe visit a few attractions in LA or San Francisco (the bridge).

    Any suggestions?:)

california is a huge state and you won't have time for everything, its 3.5 times the size of great britain

yosemite national park about 200 miles outside of San Francisco would be my number one thing to see, then Death Valley (good time of the year to go)

Sequoia National Park and napa valley are well worth a visit

17 mile scenic drive outside Monterey is great as is Big Sur

BTW la brea tar pits are in the middle of LA (they are located in West hollywood about 2-3 miles east of Beverly Hills. When in LA check out Universal Studios
