It would be a bit of a walk alright, basically the whole length of the town and then some. A native might be able to give you short cut direction, but here goes. When you come out of the station cross the road and go to your right. Turn left at the traffic lights, and walk down this street past the park. You come to a kind of V in the road/mini roundabout. Keep left here and head into the town centre. Keep heading straight right through town, over the canal and past the GAA ground. The hospital is down a bit on your right, can't really miss it.

Its a fairly straight road all the way to the hospital so no shortcuts possible!!

    :D

Ah well, couldn't you turn left coming out of the train station, and cut across to New Main Street or whatever it's called and go that way? Maybe you can't and it probably isn't any shorter, that's why I said I'd leave it to the natives. ;)
