Boarding kennels - recommendations?

Hi, Does anyone have any recommendations for boarding kennels in the Midlands? Are they a nice place to send your dog or are they cruel? Going away for a weekend and don't want to have to land dog unto family AGAIN. Thanks.

Where are you in the midlands? We've used one in Killucan, County Westmeath (think its called Killucan Kennels) and they are good. It always feels cruel when you drive away but the dog will settle in quickly and has the company of other dogs around them (though in separate runs).
