    Jarvis is assuming it's going to be at 1AM. AFAIK there's no confirmation of that.

    The last time it happened it was at random intervals on that weekend, although the first people to get the upgrade did get it at 1am and others got it days later in the week.
    A reminder to everyone to please post in the following thread once you get the upgrade;
    http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055342629&highlight=post+upgrade
    I won't be here for the weekend but I doubt I'll get the upgrade to 3mb from 2 as my attenuation is sh*te.

    No. You will be dropped from the exchange and it will sync up at the faster speed itself. Thats what happened in my case anyway.

    You will know because the sky will turn a greeny shade of blue and a huge ray of light similar to the light used to abduct humans into alien craft will consume your house and your pc will screem ............... YAY... at last i can fulfil my potential!!!!! (a little)

    I will be hughly dissappointed if it doesn't happen at 1a.m. I don't normally stay up this late on a Friday (unless the late late goes overtime).

    DOS Ping to www.boards.ie @ 23.44 = avg 14ms. Roll on 1.

    Fingers crossed.

    My router keeps hanging. I can only get 1 minute online before it hangs again. Dunno why, because my exchange was upgraded last month. Must be Eircom's systems malfunctioning. Pity. Won't get fixed until sometime tomorrow.

    *me wonders if this message will get through before the router hangs again*

    My Internet is down since 1am exactly. Will it come back itself or should I reboot the modem?

    My DSL light just started flashing at 1am and the page I was loading timed out, 10 seconds later it was back at the new speed no reboot required.

    Don't worry folks, you'll have it by tomorrow. Don't expect Eircom to be on-time. They're about as efficient as a solar powered flashlight. ;)
