Upload speeds haven't been great tbh.

I'm seeding a torrent (I'm the only seed and there's several leechers) and I'm rarely seeing it get above 30-40kBps. When it does it fluctuates pretty wildly... going up to 60 and then dropping back to the 20s or 30s.

All the speedtests I've done have put my up speed in the 570kbps region but I haven't once seen it get that high on torrents (not a port forwarding issue, before anybody says it).

My ping for online gaming now is atrocious since the upgrade - I also can't get a stable connection to xbox live now either. Browsing is slow too.

What good is speed if its only usable for downloads?

I'm on the Dolphin's Barn exchange and I wasn't expecting any kind of upgrade (since I was upgraded to 8Mb a few weeks ago), but I was playing around with my router earlier and saw my connection at 12135 / 1019.

Don't exactly need the extra download speed, but the extra upload is brilliant! Is this going to be a permanent upgrade? Also, is the cap increased now? I tried looking at the the BT webpage, but I don't know how these new package names correspond to the one we originally bought.

I've gone gone from 2mb to 3mb. Any news on whether this comes with an expanded download limit?

This is what i am getting. apperently my exchange has been upgraded. not seeing it though.

Although my ping seems slightly higher

I posted earlier regarding my unchanged stats and probably should have posted these instead, including the stats i've entered into the asdl checker below. This says I should get late 5megs, but still only getting 3meg, and my pings are gone up.

    Broadband Line Status

Line Mode G.DMT Line State Show Time
Latency Type Interleave Line Up Time 00:03:09:20
Line Coding Trellis On Line Up Count 1

    Statistics Downstream Upstream
Line Rate 3072 Kbps 384 Kbps
Noise Margin 16.2 dB 16.0 dB
Line Attenuation 46.0 dB 23.0 dB
Output Power 0.1 dBm 8.3 dBm

    61152.jpg

Anyone know if these are right.

How is anyone on the clontarf exchange getting on?

I am not upgraded, my phoneline is very noisy, my SNR is gone from
22 to 6 and my broadband has dropped to ISDN speeds.

    :(

Just thought I'd post that the rathcoole exchange has been upgraded. Couldn't see it here so thought I'd share.

Edit: Ping time now at 113ms

Been terrible here for me since Portmarnock was done this weekend.

Meant to be 8mb, but it is disconnecting frequently and the sppeds are terrible and pings are a joke. I've an ADSL 2+ modem and our line is more than capable of 8mb. Seems they have made total mess of the upgrades.

    307437329.png

Also, we are Esat, no idea why speedtest comes up IEunet Limited since the upgrade?
