Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Taken from their official site:
    1.30.08
Om is continuing forward with a new drummer and working on a new recording. Please check here and the band's myspace page for updates.A live vinyl only LP "Om - Live at Jerusalem" will be forthcoming. This is Chris Hakius' final release with the group.I personally apologize to east coast fans who planned on coming out to the shows. Please know that Om will be back in your area later in 08.Thank you to all of you. Live dates resume in late spring. There is a LOT of new material on its way.Shrinebuilder is also forging ahead.See you all soon.-al

Shrinebuilder is a new band featuring Al Cisneros (Om, Sleep), Wino (The Obsessed, Saint Vitus, The Hidden Hand) and I think someone from Neurosis which sounds promising but ****, Om were transcendental! I can't think of any drummer who can fill Hakius' shoes, the balance between the two guys in Om was unreal.

    Bad times.

It might mean Sleep getting back together is even less likely.

I was really hoping that with this current vogue for bands getting back together to play classic albums that they'd do even a one-off show playing Jerusalem all the way through. Not now though, now I'm just sad. I know you didn't dig Om as much as I did but definitely the best gigs/albums I've experienced this decade.

Well done lads, went out to get some Om (conference of birds) and Sleep (dopesmoker) after reading this thread and they are the sh1te! Pity about the split though
