    Hi
The cube agree has just been tested in cycling plus and scored
high and I also think the Planet carbon was reviewed about a year
ago.It also done well and you should be able to look at reviews at
bikerader.com.As for the flexing, unless your a 'Boonen' it should be ok.

Bikes seem pretty similar in spec. Have no idea about the flexure, but the Cube is FAR better to look at, so by all reasonable logic you have to get that one!;)
(it also looks almost identical to my focus, but i'm not biased! I swear!....which also cost 1200 quid, but isn't carbon......:()

    now, back to study.....

Edit: Just noticed the wheels on the cube are Fulcrum Racing 5's (or is it 3? It's not that clear in the pic) but on the spec they're listed as Shimano 550 rims and hubs. And up close, it's not that much like my focus after all. Almost as nice though......:p

Planet X make absolutely bombproof frames, mind you thats mountain bikes, but if the quality is the same as mtb. id go with planet x.

Looking at the bikes... Planet X.

i'd get a focus! the cayo 07 models are on sale on wiggle and the 08s are great value and have already got the usual stunning reviews. they are very similar to both of the above so not sure why you have ruled them out??

Hadnt actualy rules tehm out, unfortunatley the cayo expert 07' that were on sale on wiggle are now sold out, the cayo's are nice thoug.hmmmmmm:confused:

Note the '08 Cayos have fairly upgraded specs (e.g. the Expert went from Ultegra to Dura-Ace for derailleurs and shifters.) That Cube on CRC looks like very good value if a 56 is your size.

They only have one pic for all the different component specs- note at the bottom of the picture it says "Image for illustration only - spec as listed."

CRC have now told me that the cube is only left in a 53, so thats out...looks like the standard 08' cayo is leading the race now.

Are you 100% sure about that, as they have three seperate 2007 Cube Agree GTCs, one of which is listed as only being available in a 53:

    http://chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=24877
    http://chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=24878

Is it possible they are looking at the wrong one in their system?

you couldn't go far wrong there imo. I seriously looked at them myself, the only thing to beat them is getting a sale offer which is what happened to me.

Bought Cayo 2008. Great! Buy one especially with sterling so weak. Delivered for €1366. Good luck with your choice

The Focus bike (Cayo I think) got Bike-of-the-Year in Cycling Plus mag. if you're going to buy a bike off the net then they'd be top of my list. Excellent value for money.

Wasn't there something somewhere that Wiggle don't ship bikes to Ireland....

The decision is always difficult to make, especially after all the research, but now that you have made it enjoy the bike. It looks terrific.:)

Sorry to jump in on a thread, but a quick question for SY - just about to buy a FOCUS CAYO 08 but can't figure out the size - can't quite see if the top tube is sloping or not - I'm just over 5,7 with an inside leg of 30.5 - am veering towards the 52 ( triple ) - would you have any advice.

    Again apologises to other posters
