    A shower appeared from no where, I've just had hail pelting the window :confused:

    Rain rate 22mm/h
    Gust 50mph+

    A bit wild!!

    Still very windy, mean since midnight still 28mph, mas gust 58mph.

    A very interesting cold front crossing country with Cork AP having 7C drop in an hour and snow reports.

    Dry and Cloudy here now after the torrrential rain of last night and this morning. Snow covering the hills to the west of me though which is nice:)
    Temp falling slowly, now 3.7c. Humidity is high at 90%, and pressue is rising slowly, currently 982.4 mb.

    Hopeing there is some thunder activity in the showers tonight.

    it's 2 degrees out now - certainly feels cold enough for snow, but it's just crappy light sleet at the moment. doubt it'll change to snow either.

    Heavy, almost thundary rain with isolated snowflakes just arrived here now, it is also getting cooler, which i did not expect. Temp now 3.5c after reaching 9.0c today, with a cool east wind.

    No doubt it will get milder as night goes on...:rolleyes:

    But now I am lampost watching..


    Edit: 11.50pm, temp has now fallen to 2.5c, a sharp drop, still raining but not as heavy. Suprisingly, the bit of sleet has gone, all rain now. Claremorris, the nearest met eireann station to me, 10 miles west, reported a temp of 4c at 11pm, and is the coldest place in the country right now. I wonder is Nacho in Mayo noticing anything strange up there???

    I thought it was me going mad but Claremorris now reporting 2.0c at midnight now.
    It is still the coldest reported place in the country. Temp here now steady at 2.5c, there must be some sort of low pressure over this over South Connaght that is causing this unexpected drop in temperature. Drizzle now, and any sign of snow is gone despite the cool temps. It is just unusual to get a temp this low when there is cloud and rain.
