Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When Terry is back do you think Alex will be dropped? He has been their best defender by miles this season. I was thinkin of gettin him in for the Sun FF. What you think?

I think you should root up the fabled Chelsea thread :)

Seriously though, not a chance Terry will be left out once he's fit. He'll go straight into the starting 11 alongside Carvalho.

Quite a change for Chelsea to have a choice in centre backs.

terry will walk back into the team, no brainer, what i wouldnt be surprised to see is carvalho leaving in the summer and then alex becoming first choice with terry

alex has been in great form this season to be fair to him

has Ivanovic (vidic's mate) made his debut for them yet?

No he has not, a lack of match fittness the apparent cause, too busy sunning it up in capulco during the Russian close-season.

Perhaps tomorrow will be his chance they have to pick two centrebacks out of

    alex/ben-haim/ferreira?/a.cole?/Bridge or him

so will be interesting to see wether Grant favours ivanovic in his state or his countrymate ben-haim.

Nope, not even on the bench yet. Might tomorrow though with Carvalho suspended.
As for Alex, he's been our best defender this season and even scored a few, He'll feel hard done by,but JT will be straight back in when he's back.

Even bigger question is whats the center midfield gonna be when the African lads are back and Lamps is fit? Ballack has been immense since coming back. Stiil though, it'll be better than our current state.

yes will be nice to have a team like this back.

    Cech
    Belletti
    R.Carvalho
    J.Terry
    A.Cole---

    Essien
    Ballack
    Lampard

    J.Cole

    Anelka
    Drogba

    With a Sub 11 of

    Cudicini
    Ferreira----Alex
    Ivanovic
    W.Bridge

    Makelele
    Mikel

    Wright Philips
    Malouda---

    Schevchenko
    Kalou

    Third String
    Hillario,Sidwell,Pizarro

Here is a question where would that team of subs end up in the premiership if all fully fit and on form? push for europe?

Edit<> i have posted this in the chelsea thread perhaps it would be best to discuss it there, keep it going?

Ben-Haim was rubbish against portsmouth at the weekend. He was at fault for the goal IMO. He was too high up the pitch and he didn't even know where Defoe was. It happened on more than one occasion in the game that he let Defoe wide open....

Terry is one of their 'star players', but Alex and Carvalho have played well together.... Very unfair on Alex if he was dropped straight away...
