Digital photo frames and memory card question

I bought 1 of these digital photo fram yokes. It only has a memory card slot and no usb which i knew when buying. But the memory card from my camera wont fit it. Ive an olyumpus camera using an Xd picture card.

The frame used Sd cards or MMC? Whats an MMC card? I assume my camera wont use Sd or MMC if its Xd. So is there any if i buy an Sd card that i could get my pictures onto the Sd card using my computer instead of the camera. How will i connect the Sd card to the computer if i cant use the camera, can i buy an adaptor or card reader?

Ive a Pcline card reader for putting a mobile fone memprpy card into, would this adaptor read an Sd card?

Whats a good website to buy a cheap Sd 1 gig memory card?

XD is a Olympus Speciallly licensed format, its very rare to find its support in many devices due to it requireing licensing and various stuff like that... MMC (Multimedia Cards) cards are identical to SD (Secure Digital), only downside is they generally have a smaller capacity, they were popularly used in mobile phones in the past iirc, you can get XD card readers for cheap enough online, and then use it to copy the photos to your pc and add them onto a SD card, there very cheap these days, most 11 in one card readers or whatever should support both XD & SD, so you could use this one device to copy from XD to pc to SD, think most only allow one memory card to be used at once, www.shop4memory.ie I hear are a good Irish site for SD card prices,

Feck it, typical i bought the wrong 1, now ive to buy an Sd card and a reader. Oh well, could be worse

You could get both a SD card & Reader for under 40 quid I'd say man . These things have come way down in price over the years

Make sure its SD and not micro SD that you need.
Also one thing to note is that the reolution on these frames is often quite low.
If its 640x480 for example then your photos will probably be about 50k (can't remember offhand) and you'll get squizzillions on a gig card once you resize them.
