Whats the fancy for the weekend folks ?

I'm on my first losing streak for a while so trying to turn the corner. Hopefully beginning with this weekend. The bet i like the most is 7/4 about Bradford beating Macclesfield. Macclesfield are playing above themselves at the moment and just lost a key defender in the transfer market. Bradford have had a bit of a dip recently but should recover soon hopefully with a win over the home side tomorrow.

Other sides i'm having a look at but have yet to back (I could end up backing none)

    Liverpool 3/10
    Reading 11/10
    Burnley 4/1
    Darlington 11/10
    Chester 4/1

I hate to criticise bets but that is froth with danger. Chelsea i would like the most of the three. Arsenal won't find it easy against Man City and United have failed to win 5 of their 11 away games. Good luck nonetheless!

Looks crazy to me. But it's just against my way of betting I suppose. Very hard to find value in a treble.

Each to their own as they say, best of luck!

Who did you do that with? PP are giving 6/1 on the above treble.

it pays out 2868 to be precise, did not see that special on PP. Guys i can understand your thoughts/concerns on a high stake treble but i have got to go with my instinct, that and the fact i won the lotto during the week:rolleyes:

i am still following my rule of not betting over 10% of bankroll

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,783 ✭✭✭Pj!

Doesn't matter if it's 0.2% of bankroll. My point is I don't believe it to be a profitable long term way of betting.
But as I said, that's just my opinion. Each to their own.

But 10% (or anywhere near it) of a bank on a treble is crazy in anyone's book.

Froth with danger is the way I'd be thinking too. I'm a United fan but I'm having reservations backing them away to Spurs.

Best of luck with it all the same.

I think there's a good chance that Arsenal and Man Utd could drop points, so no bets on either game for me. I expect Chelsea to win with a clean sheet, 1-0 or 2-0, so that's one of my picks.

I'm going for Palace at home. Their form is solid and they should be too good for managerless Southampton who just loaned out two important players.

Leeds should benefit from new manager syndrome and should start playing to their potential now that spoofer Wise is gone to his non job.

There's also a bunch of good value non league games I've got my eye on which I'll whittle down to final picks in the morning.

Arsenal are the bet of the weekend.

Man City are the most over rated team in the premiership,I have watched their last two games and have seen nothing that would suggest they can cope with an excellant Arsenal side.

Its a 200 win for me.

I put no bets on the soccer at all today; I just didn't like the lineup of games and didn't trust the big teams today

I might sound like a broken record, but Nigeria at 19/5 are too good to pass up for me. I think we've yet to see anything like the best of them and they must have one good performance in them before the end of the tournament, they are just too much value not to back them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,772 ✭✭✭jameshayes

I've just put half my bank on AV to win. For the reason that M. O Neill would have given them a good talkin to at HT!

    :( i think i've lost my mind

3.2 or so I think it was. A handy amount for some pretty obvious results
