Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I reckon you would have to install an operating system of some kind on the HD in order to use a music player on it, not sure whats the best option though, maybe some of the open source experts will be able to offer more help...

On a standard ext hard drive .... No , there would need to be some hardware in there capable of doing this and there is not.

There are media player hard drives you can get , these have the necessary electronics to do what you want , but standard Ext hard drive does not.
