Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I cannot access control panel on PC, is this a virus? Is there any good helpful downloads that can sort this matter out without a barrage of spam and misleading links etc?

    unlikely but could also be malware protecting itself.

    try logging in as an administrator first to confirm if it's a machine wide problem or just your profile/account

    It seems like malware, ie regcure, one of these latch on programmes that make you submit to buying their software.

    start->run
    gpedit.msc

    in gpedit left hand pane....
    expand userconfiguration
    expand administrative templates
    click on control panel

    in right hand pane....
    double click prohibit access to control panel
    set to enabled and click okay
    double click prohibit access to control panel again
    set it to not configred and click okay and exit out of gpedit

    Its a Virus all right. Download fixpolicies.exe from here http://cid-6aaab341ce47c5c2.skydrive.live....FixPolicies.exe and run it on your pc.

    This will sort out your access. You also need to clean the computer of the viri or you problems may return when you reboot.
