    Try WD-40. Liberal soaking and open and close the door several times as you spray it on.

    that or some good old fashioned grease

    Some 3in1 oil would do the job too.

    WD40 won't last, use spray grease instead.

    What kind of grease is best for this kind of stuff? I was confused by the presence of lithium, silicone and possibly some other types of grease in Halfrauds...

    Lithium spray grase is the stuff to use, as handy as wd40 to apply but won't wash off as quick. The can usually comes with the little nozzle to get into tight areas ;)
    Can get it in most motorfactors.
