    Hi everybody!
Im about to buy a car here in Dublin and use it as a transportation for getting back to home (Latvia). In other words it might be like importing car from Ireland to Latvia or something... :)
So the question is- what paperwork do i have to do for making this journey 100% legal? I mean motor tax, insurance- does it work in EU if I apply it in Ireland or there is a special transit/travel car insurance as I do not plan to drive the car in ROI- only few miles to get to ferry 'Dublin-France'.

Thanks a lot for any input.

I don't think tax is an issue, but you will want to be insured and your insurers will need to know that you are travelling. You can get temporary insurance here for a few days, but I don't know if they offer that to people leaving the country.
