    Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone knows if there's a maximum amount your landlord can increase your rent by in one go?

Not as far as I know and as long as the new rent is in and around the market norm. There is one exception, if you've been living somewhere for a certain amount of time (afraid I'm not sure how much) you are entitled to only have your rent rise by the rate of inflation.

    As far as i know:
    * They can increase it a maximum of once per year (unless there's a significant improvement to the property made in the interim period, e.g renovations)
    * They can increase it to match similar properties in the area.
