Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Windows cannot start

My niece is having a problem with her laptop (Compaq), I have tried to help without success. She is using XP and getting this message:
Windows cannot start because the following file is missing
    windows\system32\config\system.
I have tried booting from the original cd rom. Set up loads the files, then it tells me that 'set up did not detect any hard disk drives'.
I managed to start it in safe mode and did a diagnostic scan. All looked ok.
    Any ideas anyone ?
    Thanks in anticipation.
