If there's one man in Limerick who SHOULD know about it,
Dave Hickey would be that man.

Another option might be a shop - Target?

Lads, has anyone ever been to Limerick. I've been there loads of times and never seen one bit of trouble. Dont always believe what you read or hear.

Ah come on, he's is just making the obvious joke.
Limerick is a nice place though, once you don't to the wrong areas

I know but the whole "labelling a city as bad when its actually not" is getting out of hand. Limerick actually has one of the lowest crime rates of cities and towns over 30,000 in Ireland (second from bottom).

The reason it has a bad name is because lazy inept hacks and journalists who struggle to fill their column everyday and dont want an editor chasing them down for a deadline, they will always go to the lowest common denominator and fabricate what ever story they want, in the know that if anything happens the newspapers staff is made up of 65% legal staff who will fight tooth and nail for anything that is written.

You are reading and believing what is a complete steaming pile. You are a sucker, you have fallen into their trap.

Make up your own mind based on your own experiencees, that is the best way to tackle it.

Like every city, there will be parts that aren't great. The government are to blame for any social problems after 15 years of unbelievable prosperity in this country.

Ok ... rant over now, i promise to stop giving out :p

I thought what I had said should imply that.
Anyway, is there any plans or do we know how much funding their getting?

i heard the lads that built greystones skatepark might be getting the job which would be awesome considering the amazing job they did in gstones where they were given a piece of land that went downhill along a ditch with ****e drainage....look what they have now!

lets just hope that its not another ****e rhino ramps job and that the council look beyond the quick easy method and realise that concrete is the only way to build in ireland.

Cork skate,I am sorry if I offended you.I was only having a laugh explaining the previous comment of "blades only".I too have been in Limerick many times and never had problems.

Roll on the skatepark and I shall be up there again.;)

Yeah likewise ,sorry to offend only avin a laff like. Limerick is a great place and some great skate spots. Hopefully Jezza and thomsey will build you a nice park. I think AP thompson are the people they work through over here but that might have changed.Airspeed are still interested in coming back to build here to (they built Bushy Park) so get them to submit a tender too.
