Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Upgrading domain to windows 2003.

    Hi,

Im going to start another thread cause the other one makes no sense anymore. I have a Windows 2000 domain, and Im upgrading to Windows 2003. I ran adprep /forestprep and adprep /domain prep with no problems. I ran DCpromo on the new 2003 server with no errors. However the Sysvol folder is not replicating. The problem seems to be that the domain is a single-label domain name, and windows 2003 doesnt like that. I keep getting the following error on the original DC.

The File Replication Service is having trouble enabling replication from WRIGHT01.WRIGHT to WRIGHT09 for c:\windows\sysvol\domain using the DNS name WRIGHT01.WRIGHT. FRS will keep retrying.
Following are some of the reasons you would see this warning.

[1] FRS can not correctly resolve the DNS name WRIGHT01.WRIGHT from this computer.
[2] FRS is not running on WRIGHT01.WRIGHT.
[3] The topology information in the Active Directory for this replica has not yet replicated to all the Domain Controllers.

This event log message will appear once per connection, After the problem is fixed you will see another event log message indicating that the connection has been established.

I have done the registry entries recommended here but to no avail. Anyone have any other ideas?
