Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I recently copied all of my legally stored music from Hard Disk (stored in MP3 format) onto an external backup drive while I was replacing the HD in my pc.

Problem is, most of it 'changed' into M4A format !

Any ideas why this happened & how I can get it back to MP3 ??

    cheers

    Andi

If you have itunes then this was most likely the culprit , read here ,

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG-4_Part_14

m4a is mostly used by apple.

If itunes was being used to manage your music then it probably stored your mp3 in m4a containers.

Look at the bottom of the page for programs that can convert back to mp3. ( there are many , take your pick )

To avoid this type of thing I never set itunes to manage my music , its better to make all your music read only and set itunes so that you manage your own music.
