Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone,

Is there an easy way to get to the LOM from inside solaris. I've tried the #. sequence with no luck.

    Thanks
    Chris

you can issue certain LOM commands from within Solaris - see http://docs.sun.com/source/817-5233-10/lomsolaris.html

another option would be to telnet/ssh into the lom provided network access has been configured

I'm probably way too late for this... but the only way into the lom is from a connection to it.

Think of the LOM as an addon card with special privileges to turn the machine on/off and so on. The problem is the machine has absolutely no idea it's there. As amcc said, the best thing is to use telnet/ssh.

If the network for the sc/lom isn't set up, you can get in by way of the serial console, and then set up the network following the instructions in the manual for that particular machine.

Too late to help, but I hope it worked out for you ok.

    Cheers,
    Aoife
