Engineering at DCU is good! I just graduated in Medical mechanical engineering (Now biomedical engineer) last year and I have had no problems finding work. I finally set on a decent job as a design engineer in the US. It is accredited by the IEI so is recognised where ever you go.

The syllabus in first year has changed a bit to encorporate this programme. It is very general math and science. It is a bit boring but when you specialise in second year it starts to become pretty interesting.

Intra (internship) was good for me as i got to work in germany in the automotive indutry but it also gives you something to apply you classwork to. Also it means you have some experience coming out which is always a help!

Hours across engineering are pretty solid (30hrs +) per week. This sucks at times but it builds alot of commradery between the classes. The classes are usually pretty small (less than 30) apart from some general ones math etc but that is made up for by small tutorials.

What course are you thinking of? I can give you some more specific info..
