I am doing some work in my house and would like to be able to move a radiator from one wall to another. The floor is wooden and raised so routing pipes is not a problem. I am just trying to figure out how to either isolate the pipes supplying water or drain the system to enable me to disconnect the radiator. An ideas?

first thing Wait until the weather warms up a bit.

you need to find the valves for heating run and isolate these,

then drain the system, turn off existing rads both sides ( saves draining the water in these)

move the rad and then reconnect the pipework,

(if you cant find any valves to isolate the system you could tie up the ballcock on the header tank)
